AEÜ is an international scientific journal which publishes original works, invited tutorials, and special issues on the state-of-the art research areas. The journal's scope covers design and implementation of electronic devices, circuits, and communication systems, including but not limited to:

Special Issue on Electronics, Communications and Signal Processing Special Issue from ECTI-CON 2024

The International Conference on Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Computers, and Telecommunications (ECTICON) is a flagship international conference in Thailand. The conference aims to provide an international platform to present technological advances, launch new ideas, and showcase research work in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, computers, telecommunications, and information technology. The ECTI-CON has been held in many cities in Thailand for the past 20 years. Since 2008, ECTI-CON has been included in IEEE Xplore and is already indexed in Scopus. The 20th ECTI-CON 2023 has been finished on May 9–12, 2023, in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand. There are 109 accepted papers from 9 countries, with an 42.63% rejection rate. The next 21st edition of the conference will be hosted by Khon Kaen University, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, and the ECTI Association at Khon Kaen University Science Park, Khon Kaen, Thailand, on May 27-30, 2024. The main objective of the ECTI-CON 2024 is to be the stage for young and senior researchers to enhance their research experiences by exchanging and discussing their expertise, including theories, methodologies, and emerging applications, in several topics such as circuits and systems, communications, signal processing, and related special topics. A high score of accepted papers (from reviewers and chairs) in the area of realizations of electronics and communication systems would be selected to provide an extended version and new peer review for publication in the AEÜ International Journal of Electronics and Communications. Researchers, practitioners, and students from around the world are invited to submit original and unpublished papers to ECTI-CON 2024. The high-quality papers are invited to extend their work at least by 60% by including more experimental/simulation results before submitting to journal, and they should also state in the “Acknowledgement” section that “A preliminary version of this work has been published in ECTI-CON 2024 Conference Proceedings" and cite therein.

Special issue information:

The 2024 edition of the International Conference on Synthesis, Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Methods, and Applications to Circuit Design (SMACD) was held from 2 to 5 July at Volos in Greece.

SMACD is a forum devoted to modeling, simulation, and synthesis for analog, mixed-signal, radiofrequency (AMS/RF), and multi-domain (nanoelectronics, biological, MEMS, optoelectronics, etc.) integrated circuits and systems, as well as emerging technologies and applications. Open-source tools and methods for IC design and experiences with modeling, simulation, and synthesis techniques in diverse application areas are also welcomed. Objective technologies include CMOS, beyond CMOS, and More-than-Moore such as MEMS, power devices, sensors, passives, etc.

This special issue includes extended peer-reviewed versions of top-ranked papers in the conference referring to state-of-the-art works in terms of integrated circuit design techniques or electronic design automation tools.

This special issue of AEU International Journal of Electronics and Communications aims at publishing extended versions of top-ranked papers in the SMACD 2024 conference.

The papers invited to contribute to this special issue will have to include at least 60% of additional research content by including more experimental/simulation results before submitting to journal. 

The Acknowledgement section must state that “A preliminary version of this work has been published in SMACD 2024 Conference Proceedings" and cite the conference paper therein.

The submitted papers (that already underwent a review process in the previous conference submission) will be subjected to a new standard peer-review process by outstanding researchers in the field.
